That which is univerfai and privative, ani )ea- fuch as is in all unregenerate perfons ; they have no Faith at all, °utìe ftìngu;íh that is, they are dead men and haveno principles offpiritual Cd. life. This I (peak not of, it is eatly diftinguifhed from any Grace, being the utter enemy and privation as it were ofthem all. (2.) There is an Unbelief partial andnegative, conGfting in a tiaggering at, or G ieffioningof the promifes.
