Faith commas all Graces together as links in a Chain, and fo by actuating one advances all in fame meafure. The School -men do many of them allow a Connexion of all Moral Virtues in Prudence, and yet commonly aflìrm, That Faith may be without Charity : As if Spiritu- al Graces were not fo well united as Moral Virtues. But the truth is, true Faith is never without Charity ; true Faith makes us fans of God, Job. r, t2. but without Charity we are fpurious and Children of the Devil. By true Faith Chrijt dwells in the heart, Ephei. 3. 17. and where he d wells,Charity cannot be abfent; true Faith purifies the heart, A. 15. 9. and `without Charity there can be no Purity.
