346 necioug f a>rtb: Spirituals : Promifes of Spirituals he fulfils in fpecie, becaufe they cannot otherwife be made good, a drop of Grace being more worth than a World; but thofe of Temporals he ful- fils disjunílively, either in the Bleiiìng it felt, or in that which is equivalent by inward con- tentation and fupportation, compenfating the abfence of the thing it felf.Thefe things being fo,the Believer in what he bath may experience the Promife in the true proportion and mean- ing of it; and notwithftanding his wants, may know,That in Ghriff he it fo far heir of all things, that if he could want a world he fhould have it. As touching Spiritual Promifes, thefe are either Promifes of Grace,or Promifes to Grace. As touching Promifes of Grace, Faith may know thefe experimentally.The Believer reads in his Bible, That God bath promifed to give an heart of flefh, to make a new heart, and a new fpirit, to write his Law in the heart, to give an heart to knot' him, to circumcife the heart that it may love him ; and many more fuch-like and afterwards reading over his own fleart,he may find thefe precious Graces all there, and be able experimentally to fay of thefe Promifes, as 7ofhua did of thofe made to Ifrael, Net one thing bath failed of all the good things which the Lord hath fpoken, all are come to paf , 23.14.
