Some Scriptures put a perad- venture upon Remifíìon, Who can tell if God will turn and repent? Jon. 3.9. Repent, if per- haps the thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee, Aa. 8.22. And the reafon is, becaufe of the uncertainty of our Difpofitions : Faith is not Faith unlefs it lean on the Divine Word; and no Word faith, Such or loch an one bath true Faith and Repentance; or is truly pardon- ed; Happy is the man that feareth always, Prov. 2 8 . r 4.
