Again, there being an infallible Connexion . between truth of Grace and Pardon, and alto between Perfeverance in Grace and Salvation, a Believer may be affured of the truth of his Graces, and fo of his Pardon ; and again he may be affured of his Perfeverance in Grace, and fo of his Salvation : Thefe two demon - firatcd will make good the Point. Eirfl I fay, A Believer may be a lured of the truth of his Gra- ces, and fo of his Pardon, which cannot but be where thofe are. Confcience is a fpy in our bofom, which marks every thing ; a fpiritual Eccho, which returns our anions, and makes them found again af- ter they are pail and gone from us: By it the Soul turns its eyes inward, and becomes a Spe- culum or Looking -glafs to it fclf, reprefenting to it fclf its own ads: By it it bends back the beams of general Truths, and applys them to Particulars.
