Diuertly bath God ordered the flare of his children in this life, calling forne to teach, forme to be taught; roux to rule, Rime to be ru- led ; gluing forne, Wealth, Honour,Peace; exercifing o- thers with Pouerty, Infamy, Contempt amongfl men. It is flrange to fee, how emulous wee are one of others preferment in thefe fauours of God ; whereas, if wee would rightly weigh ir, wee fhould fee, that in thefe things,wherein we feeme to be call behind our brethren, wee haue in one kind or other our advantage of Them. Their Wealth is more ; fo are their Diftraflions, and Cares, and Spirituali Dangers; their Reckoning larger at tho great Audite and Day of' Accompts. Is it not well, the Lord bath freed thee from there Diftraions? made thee rich in Faith, given contentment, and daily experience of his Fatherly care in another kind ? In that which feemes the greatefl difaduantage, as that the Lord fo long keepes vs in the racke of an accufng Confcience, and with -holds the fenfe of his fauour,in the pardoa of finnes, .i am deceiued, if there be not force ad- vantage to the opprefred.
