Some of them did worfhip Him, unrebuked, in the Days of his Flefh ; which certainly He, who anfwered the Devil by faying, `Thou (halt worfhip the LORD thy GOD and hint only(halt thou ferve, would never have fuffered ; if he had not been that fame Lama and GOD, who had this Right of Adoration. But fuch is the Blindnefs of unfta- hie Men, that the plaineft Texts cannot fatisfy them, when under the Power of their own Infatuation. In an experimental View, the Chriftian hath other To- kens of his Saviour's Omnipotent Arm. He hath ex- perienced a Tranflation from the Kingdom and Do- minion of Satan into the Kingdom of GOD's dear Son ; and he daily finds a Refcue from his inward or his outward Foes.
