What a Fund of Comfort do the following Words hold out to the weary, drooping Soul! Haft thou not known ? haft thou not heard, that the everlafting GOD, the LORD, the Creator of the Ends of the Earth, fainteth not, neither is weary ? He giveth Power to the faint ; and to them that [in themfelves] have no Might, he increafeth Strength. Even the Youths [thofe that are ftrong in their own Confidence] /hallfaint and be weary, and the young Men [the molt naturally ftrong that can be chofenl fall utterly fall. .But they that wait upon the LORD (hall renew their Strength : they (hall mount up with Wings as Eagles, they All run and not be weary, they (hall walk and not faint. Ifaiah xl. 28. Great is the Peace of the Children of GOD in this World, though greatly' interrupted at times by Corruption within and without : But O what Comfort, what. unfpeakable Joy, !hall thofe poffefs; when their Tabernacles of Clay are difiolved, and when that blell'ed ANGEL, who pointed out their Path, and condu&ed them (like his Ili-ad of old) through this melancholy Defert of Sin, !hall eftablifh them in his heavenly Canaan for ever ! Though many of them, in this World, may have but fmall Manifeftations of GOD's Prefence with their Souls ; yet the Angel of GOD's Prefence !hall lead them to that Fulnefsof Joys. and Pleafures, which are at his Right Hand for ever- more. What Men call Death, is at molt but a happy Period of Corruption and Pain to the Redeemed, whofe Life is hid with CHRIST in GOD ; and who, when CHRIST, their Life, (hall appear, 'hall alto appear" with Him in Glory.* * Col. iii. 3. 4.
