Sin yet remaining in their mortal Bodies, they are fubjea to the Evils, brought into the World by Sin, in common with others ; but the Guilt of Sin is removed by the Blood of Chrif, the Love of Sin is call out by the Spirit of Chrift, and they cannot ferve Sin any longer in Preference toChrifj:. Theyhave a new Mafter, and are become new Creatures in the Frame and Difpofition of their Minds. They have new Joys, new Hopes, new Fears, new Defires, new Condua, and, in a Word, they are altogether renewed (as the Apofile fpeaks) in the Spirit of their Minds. Their Sins now (for there is no Perfe&ion in this Life) are not committed in Prefumption or Pleafure, but in Sorrow and Frailty. This is one peculiar and charaéle- riftic Difference between the Children of Grace, and the People of the World. Confider then, fearful and fainting Believer, and confider for thy Comfort, That this precious Atone- ment of Chriít will reach as far, as Faith can reach, or Hope delire; for 7efus is an High Prieft, prevalent in Interceflion ; 7efus was a Sacrifice, infinite in Merit, and everlafting in its Confequences. If all the Sins, that ever were conceived in the Thought, or brought forth into Aft and Deed, combinedwith all the pra6tical Un- godlinefs that ever was committed from Adana to this Hour, and all together were laid upon thee; the Effi- cacy of Chrß's Blood is fufficient for the Atonement of them all: And, if he gave thee the Grace of Faith in his infinite Atonement, thou wouldefl be prefented without Spot or Blemifh before the Throne of GOD. On the other hand ; if thou didft never commit but one Sin, and that Sin only in thy `thought ; and if thou finally didft leave the World without Faith in this great Propitiation ; that very little Sin (as fome might call it) would fuffice to fink thee down into a World of Woe. Faith isthe great Diflinétion and Difcriminationbetween one Man and another; and, as a Ihort Anfwer to that ignorant and ungracious Cavil, " that if a Man believe in Chriít, he may live as he lifts," let it be noticed ; That
