The univerfall offer of Chrift arifeth not from Chrifts Prieftly Office immediately , but from his Kingly Office, whereby the Fa- ther having given him all power and domini- on in heaven and earth he hereupon com- mands all men to floop unto him, and likewife all his Difciples, and all their fucceffours to go and preach the Gofpel to every creature under Heaven , Matth. z8. 18 , 19. For Chrift doth not immediately offer him felf to all men as a Saviour, whereby they may be en- couraged to ferve him as a King commanding them to caft away their weapons, and {loop unto his Scepter, and depend _upon his free mercy, acknowledging, if ever he fave me, I' will bleffe him ; if he damn me; his name is righteous in fo dealingwith me. But that I may fallen this exhortation,I will Phew thee four things. I.
