So it is a fpring ofcomfort toconfider, that Chrift was feene, and admired andattendedby Angels ; they areours , becaufe we areChrifts. Let us confider, what a comfort it is,to have the attendance ofthcfebleßedspirits for Chrifls fake. And hence we have the groundof the perpe- tuitie ofit, that theywill for ever be attendants tous ; becaufe their love and refpeEt to us, is founded upon their love and refpee} to Chrifi. When favour toanother, is grounded upon a found foundation : when the favour that a King ora great perfon beares toone , is founded in the loveofhis ovine fonne, he loves the other, be- caufe he loves his fonne , whom the other loves ; fo it is perpetuall and found,becaufe he will ever love his fonne. The Angell will forever love,and honour, and attend us : why ? for what ground have they refpea to us at all ? It is in Chrift, whofe members and Spoufe we are. So longas the Church hath any relation to Chrif}, fo long the Angels (hall refpea the Church : but the Church hath relation to Chrift for ever; there -1 fore, the refpeá that thebleffed Angels have to Chriftand to the Church, it is for ever, and for ever.
