The blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanseth us from all sin l John i. 7. 8. It was in the view of this " Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, that there was away made, pro- vided, and prepared, for our Lord Jesus Christ to arise from the dead. The apostle to the Hebrews, in chap. xiii. ver. 20. is express in this sentiment.
