It is much more pleasant to me to read the blessing that follows, and apply it with a little variation to our present purpose; verses-24, 26. " Blessed above women shall Anne our sovereign be; blessed shall she be above women in the tent, or on the throne." She puts her hands to the work of reformation, and her right-hand lifts up the rod of God against profaneness and immorality. Blessedare all those that assist her in this work, according to their eeveral ranks andcapacities. My heart and the hearts of all my fathers and brethren in the ministry, are towards the governors ofthis city, that offer themselves willingly amongst the people for this service. Assurance ofconquest should give spirits and courage for the battle. Whosoever " makes war with the Lamb, the Lamb shall overcome them, for he is Lordof lords, andKing of kings ;" Rev. xvii. 14. " Out of his mouth goes asharp sword to smite the nations of the ungodly, and on his head are many crowns ;" Rev, xix. 12, 15. Cease not then to lift up your hands against iniquity till it 'be blotted out from under heaven.
