Because it is a devillifh vice, making men like to Satan, who envied our firli parents happineffe.Secondly, it is injurious to God himfelfe, and not onely to our neighbour,ofwhofe good we ought to rejoyce,and not to envy. Ti M. How dish envy any injury to God? S I L. Firft,it doth rife up againft the authority of his word , forbidding it. Secondly, it alto controlleth his will dom in the diftribution of his gifts; for, it mifliketh that others should have what we want,yet they have nought but what God will. T I M.
