Forthe bet- ter explication of thistitle,that fcntence cited by Farms and Peter Martyr out of Origen, deferveth often to be read and thought on : Do not (faith he) fo un- derhand God to be wile, as if wifedome had made him wife, as it happeneth amongfl men (for men are wife acciden- tally by a feparable quality, and by par- ticipation of wifedome:)God is not,but as author and well - fpring of all wife- dome. For God is not wife by commu- nication of anothers wifedome, but of himfelfheis fo, and of him the only Ì wife God, all others derive their wife- Í dome: worthily therefore is it written, to the only wife God, for he alone fo ingendreth wifdome, as he is not by wifedome made wife. This claufe [For ever] in verfe 27. no- teth eternity to the end of the world, .and everlaflingly without ceafing of the bleffed Angels and Saints in hea- ven, bluffe, and honour, and glory, will be afcribed to him that fitted, upon the Throne, and to the Lambe.
