True Repentance is a change of the (y) whole foul, the yudgement, the Will and the Life, and not ofany one of thefe alone.. It is conterfeit Repentance which changeth only a mans Opinion,and not his Heart, and his Conversation. And it is counterfeit Repentance, when men pretend that their Wills are changed, and they are willing to live a godly life, when they do it not, and their lives are notchanged. 26 True Repentance doth not only turn a mans heart and life, from this or that particular fin, but from a (z) flefhly, worldly and ungodly State ; So that he that before did leekabove all to fulfil the delires of his,ffefh, and to profper in the world, doth now ftriveas hard to kill thofe defires, as he did to fatùfie them ; And now taketh the world for vanity and vexa- tion, and turneth it out of his heart.
