his rich grace

that

may

glory

, then it feemeth that

all

our

falvation

is

of

nicer grace.

The

Apoftle therefore

granteth

all

to

any one

that

fhould thus

conclude,

and

layeth down

this Apollo-

heal!

meant

of

the

rich grace in

God out

the

favour

of

God

is

two

-fold

:

z.

A more common

and

inferiour grace.

2. A more

fpeciall

and rich

grace; for

if

the Law

had

given

life,

God

fhould

have

filmed

grace, and

in

grace was

the

covenant

of

the

Law contrasted.

But

here

is

meant

a

more plentifuli grace,

in which

the

New Teftament,

with

all

the

benefits

of

it,

have their

foun-

darion.

is

to

be

confidered

two

wayes, either

as

begun,

or

as

compleat.
