Again, Take the High-Priefi in the times ofthe oid-Te- fiament, aid though he did make a n atonement for the fins of the people ; yet fotnetimes alto he did make thepeople to fin. It is Paidof Aaron, the great High-Prieft, concer. ning the golden-Calf, that he did make the people naked: But the Lord Jefus Chrift, our great High-rrief, he makes anatonement for fin, and never does make them fin : He is fo far from making the people naked, that he covers themwith his righteoufnefs that their nakednefs may not appear. But now here, our Surety, he gives the bond, and we that are theDebters, we donot give the bond for topay the debt : there is no godly man, or bdcever, that ever gave a bond untoGod theFather, that he will pay thedebt : but our Surety comes, and the bond goes in the name of the Surety, and the Debtersname is out. Oh! what a glorious, and bleffecl High-Prietf is here ! here is a HighPrieft, beyond all the High-Priefts that ever did go before.!
