This Prophefie is ofthings to come, andnot of things pail, as is well'obferved by .Mailer Brightman. It is tobe obferved, for the better underftandingofthis Prophe- tic, what names and Titles the Revelation giveth to the adverfaries of theChurch,which are as fölloweth. The firft and lait adverfaries are called 'a dragon; an open and peryerfe enemie to Chriftianity, which were the heathen Emperors, and now theTurkel, as the belt expofitors underitand it. The fecond and third after the Dragon are two beafts, the firft oar of the Sea, the fecondourof the earth. The fourth iscalled a Whore and Babylon, chap. i7. r. and 5.
