Here is firft, mortal, weak, tick man, fet inoppofition to the thong, the mighty, the all-powerful God. There is a three fold fenfe, which we may give of the words jóyntly. firft, They are a denial of all companion between God and man.No man may compare himfelf with God.Sball mortal man ? that is, mortal man ought not to be fo bold, and dareing as to venture upon fuch a thing as this, to fiand upon terms of equa- lity withthe mighty, the great, the glorious God, the Maker of all, as the Apoftle refolves in his own cafe.
