1640-41.] LADY BRILLIANA HARLEY. 113 XCIX. For my deare sonne Mr. Edward Harley. Deare Ned-Mr Gower says he means to begine his iourney on nrunday next, but his offten changeing of his minde makes me send theas lines by the carrier, in which I thanke you for your letter by this weake. I hope the Lord will so cleere the judgments of all the parlament, so that they may see the errors of thos that terme them- selfs the fathers of the chruch. Deare Ned, put your father in minde of inquireing affter Mr Gwine. I haue keept my beed theas 6 days, and I haue taken a great coold; I tooke it in gooing once or twice into the parler, this coold weather. I hope the Lord will be mercyfull to me, that I may Hue to see you and your father. I thanke God your brothers and sisters are well. I hope your father will not let you goo to Oxford yet a while, for the infextion of such a diseasce is not goone in 4 weakes at the least, but I thinke it will stay longer in the beeds.
