that (hall

drink

in

the errours

of Popery.

But

you

will

fay,

that

they

are learned

men ,

and

have

a great deal

of

thew of

truth

,

with all

deceiveablenefs

of

unrighteoufnefs

But

how

art

thou

deceived

by

them

?

becaufe

thou

received not

the love

of the

truth,

that

thou

mighted bee

faved

:

And for this

Gaffe

God fhall

fend

them

ftrong

delufions

to

beleeve

a

lye, that they

might bee

damn-

ed;

to

that end

God

fends

drong delufions, that men

might beleeve

thofe

errours, and drink in

that

cup

of for-

nications,

that

they

might bee damned

for ever.

If

it

were

but onely

that

one

errour

drunk

down

in the

grofnefs

of

ir,

that

is,

that

the righteoufnefs

that I mull

tender

up

to

God

for

fatisfaetion

to

divine Jittlice, and

for

my

eternal

falvation,

mud

bee mine own

righteoufnefs

,

mine own

works

:

Here

is

enough to

poifon

a

foul

to

eter-

nal perdition;

and many

other waies

there may bee

that

may

indanger the foul

extreamly, and

very

ill

confequen-

ces may bee gathered

from

Qood

principles

:

As

for

that

principle

of

our

Juflification

by

free Grace in Chrid;

That

it

is

onely

by

Chrift

that

wee

are

juílified,

that

principle

is

exceeding good, but from thence

fuch

dangerous venomous

confequences may bee drawn,

as

may

extreamly indanger;

and

I

make

no queflion do invenome

and poifon many

thoufand

fouls,

upon

which

they draw confequences for

loofenefs, and

againd humiliation

for fin, and

againd

obe-

dience

to the

Law,

as

by Mofes.

All

the

principles

and

errours

that

are

againd

the

dried waies o;'

God,

that

tend

to

any loofenefs, certainly

they are invenoming principles

:

Oh rake heed of

any

do

ìrine,

of

any

conceits, of

any

opi-

nions

that

do

any way

tend

to

loofenefs

!

they will cer-

tainly

poifon and invenome

your fouls,

fo

that

your very

errours

may bee enough

to

damn

you

eternally. Many

lofe

their

fouls

by

poifoning:

Seventhly,. And there

are many

that

lófe

their

fouls by

venturing

of them

;

there are

many

ventures upon

which

many

come

to

lofe. their

fours

;

there

are

four

cafes

where,
