com.forts

Its Mourners.

Shall

be

fill

a

pure comfort,

we.

have fome

thing

that

is

fweet,

but

there

is

a

great

deale

of

mixture with our fweete,

There's

little

fweet that

we have

but there

is

fome poyfon or

other,

but this

will

be

a

pure comfort, free

from danger, free

from

the

mixture

of trouble

or

danger.

And then

they are fpirituall comforts, fpirituall, by

that

I

meane,

not

only

that

it

!hail

be

A

foule

comfort

and

not

a

car-

nal!, fenfuall

comfort

as

the

comforts

of molt

men

in

the world

are,

but that's not

that I

meane, efpecially when

I

fay

fpirituall

comforts, but

by

that

I

meane

this, that their comforts!hall

come more

firflly

in

their

foules,and

fo

they

shall have

comfort

to their

bodyes

by way

of the eradiation (

as

I

may

fo

fay)

of

of

the comfortthat they

!hall

have

to their

foules

;

The

com-

forts

that

we

iiow

have

comes

fira

to,the outward

man, and

fo

our hearts are comforted

by

the

fimpathywith

the body, but

now

the

comforts of

the

Saints, shall

be firllly in

their

fouls, &

come

from the foule

to

the body

--

Secondly, Divine comforts they are that they (hall have,

that

is,

all

comfort

is

from

God

one

way

or

other, but

from

God

more

imediately,here

we have

our comforts

at

fecond

of

third or

fourth:

hand,

but

now

there

!hall be comfort

that !hall

be

from

God more

imediately,

--

And

fuch

comforts

as

are

from

the

very nature

of God

himfelfe,

that

.

is,

fuck

comfort

as

_God is

comforted in,

fuck

joy

as

God

joyes

in,

and

joyes

with

of the

that

their comfort be

in

their re;oycing,there

is

joy in hea-

ofGod that
