ghat
geed
will
come
by
putting
oîr
felves
think that
generally our
brethren
in thofe parts
where the
ad-
verfary
hath
ken,
(I
do not
fpeak
of fuch
that
are foct'iih)
but
any
that
hive
any
worke
of
grace, I verily beleeve they are
lar-
ger
in
duties then ever they were before:
they do not
cut
-íhort
holy
duties
fo
much
as
formerly,
and
certainely
if
you
wefe
their
cafe,
if the Lord
fhould
cut
you
short
in
refrea
of
your
outward comforts,
the
larger would
you
be
in
the
performance
of
holy
duties.
Fourthly,
If
you
were
in
their
cafe,
you
would have
a
more
ferious
fpirr
then
now,you
have
:
Now
you
en;oy
an
outward
profpericy,y.ou
do
not l.ryto heart
how
things are
between
God
and you,but
now
if
God ihould
come
&
rend
away
all
the
out-
wardcomforts
t
hatnowti
ou
have,ô
that would
caufe many let
thoughts to.be
in
your
mind,
and ro
confider,
how' are
things
betweene God
and my
foule. Things are
very- fad with
me
in
refpect of
the
world,
but
how
are
they
in
reipe&
of heaven
:
ô
rut
your felves
into
that condition,
that
the
flightneílè
and
va-
nity
of
your
fpirits
may
be taken
of,
that
you may
be
now
as
ferions
as
you
would be
if
you
Were
in
their
condition.
Fifthly,
If
you were in
their
condition, O
you
would
learn
to
be
content
with
a
little,
therefore
now
put
your
felves
into
their
condition,
and think
with
your
felves
:
Supvofe
God
should
take
all
from
me, then
I
fhould blette
his name
if
he
would
return
but
a
little
part of that
againe,
but
now
I
am
in
my
family and have aboundance of
comforts, and
yet
if
any
tam
thing doth
but
croife
me,
I
aü1
froward,
and
difcontenr:
I
but if
God
brought me
as
low
as
my
brethren
I ihould
bleife
his
name
fora
little,
then
I
would be glad of bread
Many of
them that
have
liv'd
as
comfortably
as
you now
live,
would
be
glad
of
bread,and the
fmalleff drink
if
they might have but
fuf-
f
cient
of.
that:'Why
now
put
your felves
into
their
condirions,&
bleffe
God
for
that little
you
have
And
thus
you
fhould
be
in
bonds, in,aflü&ionwith
thofe
that
are in affielion.
And
then
Sixthly,
Prize peace
with
God,
tl)ofe
that
are
in
an
affli&ed
condition,
O
how
do they
prize peace
with.
God,
and peace with confcience, now
fuck
of
them
as
are
Godly,
they
think
thus with
themfelves,
O
had not we laid
up
peace.
