The
meaning
is
this,
That
the people
had
their
hearts
fo
fet upon that
way and
courte
which
they were
in,
that
what
ever the
Prophet
fpeke
to
them
it
was in
vain
:
As
if
a
man should
throw
a
few slick.
into an
Oven when
it
was
red hot,
they are devoured
prefent-
ly
and
confumed into afhes
;
As
if the Prophet
fhoul
l
fay, all
my
fpeech
to themhath
no
more effe&, and
there
appears
on
more
of what
I
fay
to
them,
then
there
will
appear
of
a
little.,

that
is
call
into
a
hot Oven: And
truly
my
Brethren,
are
notmens hearts
heated
in
their
way
of divifions,
form
in one
way
and fome in
another,
and feem
to
be
refolute,
and
even
fet
on fire

time, that
what

to them
is as
prefently
devout
ed and
comes
to
nothing,
as
I
fay,
a
little
fraw
or Hubble in
a
hot

be
