When as Chrift would come and fet up His Kingdome without any prejudice at all unto the worldly Kingdoms, and yet they cannot endure it : You would account that an ill neighbour ifyou fhould come and live by him and no way prejudice him , and yet for all that he would malign you, becaufe you do but live by him ; thus it is with the world, they do malign Jefus Chrilf for living but by them ; indeed if a neighbor comes and will intrench upon your ground and liberties, you cannot bearit; Jefus Chrifl dot'i not do it : One would wonder foinetimes why wicked men thould be fo oppofite againft men when they come under the Kingdom ofChrift more than before : I appeal to you, when God converts a wife to be under the Kingdom ofChriff,Doth that take her offfrom fubjedion to her husband ? let me affure you, it. makes her to acknowledg her husband to be Lord more thanbefore ; indeed ifwhen the wife were converted it did take the wife from fubjeCtion to the husband, then there were fome reafon why the husband fhould form at it ; but when the more the wife is under the KingdomofChrift, the more doth the acknowledg the authority of her hus- band over her : and fo for fervants, I confefs if the brin- ging of them by the Word under the KingdomofChrift, did take themofffrom their obedience to their Mailers and Miftritfes, then there were fome ground to oppofe them from going to hear the Word ; but whenyour confcience tell you that the more they go to hear the Word, and are wrought uponby the Word they are the more obedient to you, why thould you hate them then ? why fhould you fo malign Chrifts Kingdom when as Chrifts Kingdomwould help you ? I appeal to the confciences ofdivers Mailers, Youhave one fervant that is prophane; another cannot lie in his bed in the morning but he mull come to hear the Word ; now if you had Trull to commit toone of them, fo that yourwhol Eftate lay upon it, Which of thefe two would you truft ? your confciences would tell you that that
