as

voluptuous,ambitious,and couctous

and whilefi they indeuour

to

make

peare

as\blacke

hell,themfelues imbrace

it

with

pleafure and

delight

as

though

it

were the ioy

of

heauen.

Who

therefore

can

imagine

that

they

think

as

they fpeake,or

that

they

are

perfwaded

that

heauen

gate

is fo

and

the way

fo

troublefome

and

hard to

find,as

they go about

to

perfwade

thee,fceing

themfelues take the

in

this

way

which they

prefcribe

vino others

?Or

if

it be

the truth

which they teach,then

furcly

they

are

not worth

the hearing,who

in

their

hues deny this

truth

which

in

their

words they

profeffe;for

what hope

be powerfull to worke

grace in

thee,

feeing

it hath

no power

to

worke

in themfelues

?

that

they

can perfwade thee

to

that

holines,to which

themfelues are

not

perfwaded

?

Satan fecke

to

keepe men from

hearing

of

Gods

word,thatfobeingweakned

and

hungerílarued, for

want ofthis

heauenly Manna,hee may vanquifh them at

being

hoodwink

with the

of

ignorance,

he may leade
