Chrift
his
refurreâion
is
both
the refurredion
of
our foules and bodies,
in as
much
as
he
is
raifed up,
that
he
may be
a fountaine and
roote
ofall
fupernaturall
life;
his
humane nature concurring with
the
divine, as
an
inftrument
with that which
is
more
principall
in
the producing
of
it.
By this we
fee
further
the
vanity
of
fuch,
who
make
God to doe
no-
thing
in
ourconverfion, but
that which
we may refift
:

we refill

the almighty power

thankfull

power towards us,

the refurredion

Sonne.
Wee deemeit
as
his
favour,
who
did appoint wee fhould defcend carnally
from the
firft
parent
of
us,
according
to the
flab
;
but this
isfarremore worthy
of
praife,
that
even in
railing,
hee thould thinke on
us,
and appoint
us
to
receive a refurre'

of
foule and body
fromhim,
in
due time and
order.
Obfervefecondly, that Chrift
is
raifed
from
Rate

God doth

Secondly, that
we might
the better
in
extremities learne
to
trutt
on him, to bring
us
to this,he
is
glad
to make
our
cafes
pall
all
help
we
can
perceive.
And thirdly, to the
end he may
the more endeare
his
benefits, he Both
let
us
conflict long
in
thewant
of
them.
Let
us
not then be
difmaied
what
ever we fuffer:I hope
we
are
not yet
come
to
death
;
let
us
looke at
Chrift,
and not with
to
be free
from
fuch
condition, which our
Lord
and
Matter hath endured before
us
:
The
ra-
ther let
us
have patience,
how
ever we be
tryed,
becaufe
God
can
never
come
with helpetoo late,
as
men
may, who bring things fometime
to
no
purpofe,
when the matter
is
pall helpe.

fendeth falvation
in
due
time
:
He
left his people in
Egypt,
in
Babylon,
till their
civili flate was dead
and
defperate;
yet he delivered
them.
Ifhe
let
them be fwallowed,
like
ions,
yet he will bring them
forth
againe, and
thew
them
his falvation,
for God
is a
helper
at time
of
neede
;
fuch
is
his faithfulneffe,
in
