Thus though
he let his owne Sonne dye, yethe

:
There
is
a double
falvation,one

the other
is a

Thus God
Paved

accordingly
as
he

when
he
prayed with

Wherefore
let this our Saviours cafe
comfort
us
in
greateft evils.

God
is
not
like
the
devil! and wicked
ones,
when
they
have
brought

:
I

God
will be with

Obferve againe,
that
God doth not onely
raffe
him up,
but
fet him
at
his
right
hand ;
Glory correfpondent to
his humiliation. Obferve
that
God

abatements

his
children

It

Comfort

according to the

Revel. r
8.7. True
it is,
that
this doth not
hold
univerfally in
this
prefent life, but
when the
definitive fentence
is
now
tobe
given
themaccording,
to
workes,
(hall
every foule
receive
proportioned
recompence.
Let
us
then by
this take
comfort
in
of
iétions:
Was

Rejoyce
in
affiûions, for
when yen are
tryed,
you
Jhall
receive
the crowne
of vittorie; The
wickeds woe
is
fowne
in
their rejoycing, but in our
darkeneife
light
is
fowne for the
righteous.' Let
us
thinke God doth but proveus, that
he may
in his due
timedoe

good
:
Blood
and
fweate goe before
vi&tory,
and before
the earthly harveft

Wee

if
God

cies
which he hath prepared for
tts.
But
to confider this matter
of
Chrifts
exaltation more particularly:
Firfi, when
it
is Paid,
he
is
fetat Gods
right hand, above
principalities;
Obferve,
that
our Saviour
Chrift
as
man,
is
taken
to
have prerogative
before every
other
creature
:
For firft,
this phrafe
noteth the
preemi-
nence
of
him,
as
