Why at
that time
hee was fpeaking to
them
there upon the
earth,
and

faith

bee
in two places
at

God

was
then
in heaven.

you
fee the excellency
of
Chrifl, in being the
charaaer
of the
Father,
and
having

Divine Attributes
in
him
in
another
manner than
any crea-
ture in the
world could
have
that
is a
meet creature.

then further,
this perfonal
excellency
of
Chrifl
will
appear, when wee confider
how

hrift comes
to
hive
thofe excellencies ,
that
bee hath them all
by
vertue of
the
perfonal.

alone

take

this humane
nature
is
filled
with
all excellency
from
the
Father;
and
indeed
the
Father,
isthefountain
of
all firftly

thefe excellencies
that
Chrifl .hath, they come from the perfonal union, im-
mediately

no
God unto
other creatures gives
them
as
it
were
of
bounty out
of himfelf
,
bee
loth
confer from
him

felt, hee puts forth
an

of power
for
the
bellowing
of
fuch
and
fuch
excellencies
upon fuch
creatures
,
but
when
the
humane
nature
of Chrift
was
to
bee
filled
with
fuch
excellencies,it
is by
taking of
the
humane
nature of
Chrift
into hirnfelf,as wee
fay
concerning fight.Philofophers haven
difpute whether
it
bee by taking in the
fpecies,or
by
fending
out
fopnething
from
the
eye. This may
a
little
refemble
this
great myftery ,
there
are forre things
that
God
beflows
by
fending out
from himfelf
,
other excellencies bee
beflows
by taking
in to himfelf
:

all
other
creatures,
Angels'
and men

onely the humane
nature.

excellency
that
they have
by,
Gods fending
out from
himfelf
;
but
now
all
the
indowments of Jefus Chrift,
and
all
his
excellencies,
bee
hath
them all from
God taking
of

union

him

communion with himfelf
as
his
Saints

but
taking

perfonal union
