On
the excellency
of the Soni.
Counfels
of
God
about
his
works
and
wayes
that hee
hath
had from all
eternity to
bee
revealed
unto
,
fofar
as
con-
cerns
it
,
and
as
any
way
may make
it
happy
:
To
live
to
fee what
the
wayes
of God
have
been trom all eternity,
and what they
flail
bee
ro
all
eternity,and that
for
the
good
of
this
foul
,
that
it
may bee for
ver
in
his
prefence ,
and
to
fland and look
upon his
face,
ai
d
fee him
as
the
portion
of
it
, Oh
this
muff
needs
bee
a
glorious thing Certainly
if
the pretence
of God
put
fuch
a
glory
upon
the
heavens,
it
mutt needs
put
abundance
of
glory
upon the tau(
that
(hall
fand
immediately
alwayes
in
his
pretence
:
To
have
eternal
communion
with
God,that is,
to
have
the
irnbrace-
ments of
God,
imbracing
the
foul
,
and delighting
himfelf
in
it
above
all other
his
works
,
bat
onely
the
Angels
and
his Son;
delighting,
I
fay,hiíafelf
in
the
foul,
and
imbracing
it
, communicating and
letting
out
himfelf
in
all
his lufire
and
glory when hee
(hall
have
inlarged the
foul
to
bee
able
ro
the
uttermof
to receive
in
that
glory
that
heehath
to
communicate
:
And
for
him
to
converfe with the fouls
of
men
to
all eternity in
a
familiar
way,,
as
one friend
with
another
;
and
for
the
foul
to
bee
letting
out its
feif
again
to
God, for that
is
in communion ,
there
is
Gods
letting
out
himfelf
to
it
, and its
letting out
its
feif
again
to
God
;
now
,
I
fay
,
it
is
the
greate4 delight
to
what
God hath
in
bin-deli,
his
Son,
and Spirit,
and Angels,' the
letting
out
of
himfelf to
the
fouls of
men
(thofe
that
(hall
bee
faved:)
And
on
the
other
fide
,
it
muff
needs bee an infinite
de-
light to
the
foui
alwayqes
to
bee
letting out
it
feif
upon
God
,
as
now,
what
delight do
men take
in
eating
and
drinking
?
now
if
-
there bee
fuch
delight
from the
humour
in
the palar
meeting with
a
peece
of
meat in
the
möuth,
becaufe
of
the fuitablenefs between one
ohjea
and
another?
Oh what delight
mua
there needs
bee when
this
im-
mortal
precious
foul
being
inlarged to
the uttermoft
with
all excellency
flail
then
meet
with
an
infinite
God
,
the
infinite
firfl
-being of all things
as
the moll
fuitáble
ob-
jet}
to
it
, and
fo
bee
letting
of
its
feif
forth
to
God,
and
