appeareth.by

of`Dauid;

not
and
therefore
the faithfull
may fall away.
I
anfwere,that
this,

is
falle,
neither
can
it
be
confirmed
out
of
this
heart and
Gods
place. For
firft
it
followeth
not,
thatbecaufe Dauid in

nor

ofGod

corruptions.:
Secondlie,Dateid.iri_praying for
thefe,doth
notprouethat
he
was
deflitute
of
them,
but rather that
hee
was indued
with
them
in fome meafure: for
vnleffe his
hart
hadbeen
clenfed,he could
not
haue defired
cleanneffe;
and
ifhe
had
not
been
indued
with Gods
fpirit,
he could
neuer
haue made this,effe6uall prayer
that
Gods
fpirit
might bee
renewed.
Thirdlie,
this
phrafe
of
creating doth
not
prooue
that
he was
vtterly depriued
of
cleanneffe,of
hart,for
it
is
im-
properly vfed,
as

he expoundeth his meaning
:
but
therefore
he
thus
fpeaketh;
that
hee
might

confeffe

great
corruption, which made
him thinke
that
a
little pur-
ging
was
not
fucient,
vnleffe

as
it
were created

Fourthly,
this
is
not
fo much
to
be vnderflood
