to
remember
that when

The
third Doctrineis,that faith
and love are never
difjoyned,but got
each
in
hand one with
the other: From what
time we beleeve, men
will
doe
any
great good things for us,we
feede a
love arifetoward them
:
fo
from what time
by
faith
we apprehend
love

God toward
us
through
Chrift,we
feede
love
refleéting
from
us
toward
him ; according
to
that,
We
love him, becaufe we haveknowne and beleeved
his
love to
us:Firft,
faith mutt bring the holy
fire
of
Gods
love
into our frozen hearts,
or
they will never be warmed with fervent love
to God
againe:
The

full foule

then it

fee
nothing
can
move
in
defireto this or
that,
till
firft
it hath apprehended
it

:
So our
affections
cannot
in
love
and defire
move to,
and unite
themfelves with
God,till by
faith we
doe
difcerne him
as

till
that
faith difcerneth
this, nothing
but

like a

is
that

for
love
is

it
is a
grace with-
out

by
which,
as

The Ufe
of

Doctrine
