ois the Excellency
of
the Soul.
Minïffery
?
that
works
altogether about immortal
fouls,- in
bringing
them
to
God,
CO
live
to God, and
to enjoy
com-
munion with
him
:
why do wee account
a
Phyfician
a
more
honourable Profefiìon, than
a
Horfe
leech,?
one
looks to
the
bodies of Beafts,
and the other
to
the
bodies
of
Men;
If
there
bee
fuch a
difference
between
the
body of
a
Bean ,
and
the
body
of
a
Man, that
hee
that
is
imployed
about
t*he
one
is
accounted honourable, and hee
that
is
imployed
a-
bout the
other
is
accounted
low,
then certainly the
imploy-
ment
of the Miniftery muff needs bee honourable,
for
it
is
about
fouls.
The
Magiflrate
looks
unto
your
peace,
the Lawyer
to
your
eftates, the
Phvfician
to your
bodies,
and
the
Divine
to
your
fouls; though
outward
refpeas
may be given
more, and fhould bee
to
the
Magiftrate,
yet
certainly
the
imployment about immortal fouls,
muff
needs bee
the
honourableft in the world:
It
is
the
honour
of
the
Angels,in

to
take
care of
the bodies
of
the
Saints
:
If
it
bee
the
glary
of
Angels
to
take
care
of
Gods
people,
what
glo-
ry
is
it
that
God
puts upon the Miniffers
of
the
Gofpel
to
look
to
fouls?
and
truly,
in
this
thing
God
bath
put
more
glory
upon
Men, than
upon Angels;
for God
hath
not
made
it
to
bee
his
fet ordinance that
Angels
fhould
con-
vert
fouls,
but
hee
bath
made
it
fo
that
men
fhould
bee
made
ufe
of to
convert
fouls by
preaching the
word;
and
let
all the
Angels
in Heaven
thew an
imploy-
ment
fo
honourable
as
this
imployment
is.
You
would
account
it
a
great
honour
to
have
the
Body
of
a Prince
to
watch over;
Surely
there
is no
immortal
foul
but
is more
precious
than
all the Princes
in
the world; and
if
the Lord
fhould
give unto
you
the care of
all the
Creatures,
except
the
fouls
of men,
it
were not
fuch
an honourable
work
as
to
give
you
the
care
of
any
one immortal
foul;

Minders

to
