Brethren,
the
foul of'
man,
it
is
a
ve-
ry
largeveffel,
and becaufe wee
know
but
little
of the
large
extent of
our
fouls,
therefore it
is
that
wee are
fo
little
fenfible
of the
lofs
of
them,
or
of
the pain
and tor-
ment
they
are
capable of,
or
liable unto
:
But
as
the
foul
is
larger
than
the
body
to
take in
comfort
;
fo is
it
larger
than
the
body
lilewife to
take in pain, niifery, and wrath:
%ve
fhould
bee fenfible
of
fuch an expreüïon
as
this
;
to
have
the body
in
all
the members of it to bee filled
with
fire,
fo
as
to
bee all
on
a
hot
fiery
hurting
coale, and that
to
all eternity.;
this
you
would think could
not
but
bee
an
extreme
mifery
:
But
the
fouls
capacity
is
far larger
than
the
bodies
:
And
to
have the
foul filled
in every faculty
of
it
with
the
wrath
of
God, it
is
far greater pain, than
to
have the
body
in
fuch
a
condition,
which is
the
condition
of
a
loll
foul.
Further, it
doth confifl in having the
power
of God
firetched
forth
to
bring evil and wrath upon
it,
and,
