the
excellency
of
the
Soul.
have nothing
to
fupport
it,
when
the burden of the
wrath
of
the infinite
God
shall
bee
thus upon it;
(as
alfo) there
(hall
bee no mixture
of
any good
to
bring
relief
or
cafe,
nor
any
intermilion of
time;
it
mull
not
bee one
moment
of
time out of
this
condition
of mifery,
but
muft bee
in
it
continually to
all
eternity.
Further,
In
this
doh
its
mifery
confifl,
becaufe
God
will
keep all the faculties
of
the loft
foul
in their
utmoft
aStivity, whereas now
it
is
not
fo with
us
;
for
if
mifery
and pain bee upon
us
here , after
a
while
our aótivity and
fenfiblenefs of
it
is
partlygone
:
But
the
Lord will make
fuch fouls
as
are
eternally
loft,
as
perfe&ly fenfible
of
this
its mifery
every
moment,
as
ever
it
was
the
very
firft
mo-
ment
that
it went
into
that
mifery_
Then
Laftly ,
In
regard
of
the
irrecoverablenefs
of
the
loflnefs
of the
foul
when
it
is
once
loft.
The
foul, when
it
is
departed
from
the body, and
once
loft, then all the
power
of God can never help
nor reco-
ver
it;
but
then
the
flream of
Gods
wrath
shall
carry
it
with
that
mighty
force,
as
that it.
(hall not
bee
able
.
to
all
eternity
to have

ngs
of
its
felf
towards its deli-
verance
for ever.
Secondly
,
There (hall
bee
no
.Mediator
r
between God
and the loft foul,
none
to mediate for
it
:
Now,
had
not wee
a
Mediatour between
God
and us; wee were all certainly
loft; but
now
for
the.
foul
that
is
once loft
eternally,
Jefus
thrift
will never
tender
up
any
wdrk
of
mediation
for
fuch
a
foul;
that
is
certainly
gone and loft irrecoverably.
And
then
further
,
the
gates
of mercy will
bee
for
ever íhut
against
fuc;h
a
foul:
Now
for
the
further opening and fetting forth
the
dread-
fulnefs
of
the
lots of
the
foul,
there
are divers
aggravations
wherein the
mifery
of
it
loth
further
appear.
The
firfc
aggravation
is
this;
If
the
foul
bee
thus
loft,
then
the
bo
iyis, and
will
be
loft alfo
:
It
will bring
the
body
into
the
very fame loft condition
of mifery
that
it
is
in
its felf,
fo
far
as
it
is
capable
of
mifery
;
