of
God.
Mat.7.

of God
himfelfe
;
In
his holineffe
,
and in
his
wifdome, they
are made partakers of the life of
God. There's
no
Parent that
begets
a
child, but the parent
makes
the child partaker
of
his
life. Now the
very life
of
God
doch
confìf+
especially in his
holineile,
in
the
acting
to himfelfe
as
the
highei+
end
of all
things.
Seventhly,
A child of
God
bath
the Spirit
of God
com-
municated
to
him;
that
you
have in thofe former Scriptures,
Rom. 8.
14,
i
5,
16 verfes,
We
are
led by
the Spirit
being
Sans.
And therefore
we
have
received the
Spirit
of
Ad9ption
whereby
we
cry
Abba
Father
And
in
that fore-named place,
Gal:
4:6.
Recaufe ye are
Sons
,
God
bath feat forth
the
Spi-
rit
Os
Son into
your
hearts,
crying
Abbe
Father.
It
is the
ob-
fervation of
a
Learned
Man upon this
place,
faith
he, He doth
not
fay
God
bath fent
forth the Spirit of
his
Son
into
your
minds, to
give you knowledge
and underf+anding
;
But into
your hearts crying
Abba
Farber.
The
Spirit of
his Son,
that
now rules in
the
heart,God
bath fent
that into
it
and
this
is
a
great
blelfing
ofGod
that he
gives
his
Spirit
;
this Spirit
is
an
tnlaghtening
Spirit
in
the mind,
and
it
is a
Spirit
that
doch
fan&iñe the
heart,
a
Spirit
that
makes knowne
the great
and
deep
Counfells of
God
to
the foule,
and
a
Spirit that
guides
the
foule in
the
way
of eternal!
life.
That's the priviledge of
all
Sons,
they
are partakers
of
the
holy
Ghof+.
I remember
in
one of
the
Gofpels
Chrif+
faith,
How
much
more
(hall your hea-
venly
Father give
good
things
to
them
that
asks
him.
The other
bath
it;
How much
more
Jhall
your heavenly
Father give
the
Spirit
to
them
that
aske
it
;
As
noteing the Spirit
of God
huh
all
good
things
in
it
;
O
bleffed are they that are partakers of
the Spirit
of
God
;
Thar
are
not
ailed
and
carryed
on by their
own
fpirits, but
by
the
Spirit
of God.
Eighthly
,
The
priviledge of Gods children
is,
that
they
have
prote&ion
from
God,
God
as
their Father
doth provide
for
them,
and
prote& them.
If
any
of
your
children
be
in any
danger,
what doe they
doe,
but run to their Father
or Mother,
and complaine
to their Father,
and
the Father
according
to
his
power,
he will
prote&
his
children
;
and
fo
there
is
à
natu-
ral!
