it
is

true
that
Salomon
fpeaketh,namely,no
man
can haue

Gods
loue

fauour
by thefe
outward
benefits
bellowed
both
vpon
the
godly
and wicked
;
neither
by
his aduerfities
&affliótions
can
gather that
the Lord ha-
teth him
:
for thefe befall
all
indifferently,
as
it
pleafeth
God'
to punifh
the
reprobate,or
to
chaflife his
owne children.
But
though
we
can
gather
no
found
argument
from thefe
outward things
ofGods
loue, yet
it followeth not
thatthere
is
no
other
meanes
to
affure

hereof: for
by
the
fame
reafon
wee may
conclude
that
man
is
no
better
than brute beafls,
and
that
there
is
no
irnmortalitie
of
the
foule,
becaufe
it
is

condition

the
fame.

the Wifeman
