I.

We

are not

ignorant

of

his devices.

There

is a

twofold know-

ledge

ofthe

depths and

devices

of

Sathan:

one with

Approbation,

to

the im-

bracing

and

pra&ice

of

them:

the, other

with

Condemnation,

to their hatred

and

As

many as

depths

of

as they

fpeake

Their Doarinall

depths, fo

they

call them:

Of

them our

broached

by

Sathan, unintelligible

notions;

pretended to attaine

an

acquaintance

with them, and boafted, it

them

as

very great and

Attaine-

They

called them

depths,fucb

as

padre

ordinaryBelievers,that

contented

themfelves with their

low

formes ,

could not reach unto:

Saith

Chrift, they

are depths,as

they

fpeake:

indeed

in

themfelves nothing

at

all,

things

ofno

lidity, weight, nor Wifdotne:

but

as

managed by

Sathan,

they are

depths

deed,

filch as

whereby he deftroyes

their

foules.

And

as

But

there

is

a

knowledge

alto

of

the

depths,

and

devices

of

Sathan, leading to

judging,

condemning,

rejeaing,

and watching againft them.

thofe who are
